  6. Shutdown Fade demonstrates using Extension Shell to install a Shutdown task, and to animate a series of icons at startup.

  8. Shutdown Fade installs a Shutdown task which causes all monitors to fade slowly to black on shutdown. It uses Matt Slot's Gamma Table library code to perform the fade - this code has no effect on the Radius drivers for their pivoting monitors, nor on my PowerBook 5300.
